YawnTales is a subscription SaaS product for families: member accounts and recurring billing wrapped around AI that generates bedtime stories, affirmations and meditations, with safety classification, voice narration and contextual music. We built it, we run it, and we charge for it, so it shows the full shape of a paid AI product, not a demo.

The problem

Parents often want a story that fits the child, the moment and the mood, but bedtime is usually when nobody has the energy to invent one from scratch. Generic story apps rarely handle affirmations, meditations, audio, faith-sensitive content and safety checks in one place, and almost none of them have to stand up as a paid product people renew every month.

What we built

YawnTales is a full subscription SaaS product. Member accounts, monthly plans, recurring billing and failed-payment states sit around an AI core that turns a short prompt and a few choices into bedtime-ready content: stories, affirmations and meditations with tone, theme and age in mind. The same product runs prompt classification, output safety checks, voice narration and custom music, so the AI is tied to a specific job rather than a blank chatbot.

Why it matters

When a business asks whether we have built a SaaS app with subscription payments and AI, this is the one we point to. It carries the parts that decide whether a product survives real users: accounts, recurring billing, safety, generation and audio, all in something families pay for and come back to. Christian mode gives families a way to create Christ-centred content, while the safety layers, narration and music help turn the result into something parents can actually use at bedtime.

Build notes

  • Recurring subscription billing with member accounts, paid plans and failed-payment handling behind the product flow.
  • Multi-layer safety checks classify prompts and generated content before it reaches the user.
  • Story, affirmation and meditation flows shaped for age, mood, theme and content style, including a Christian mode for Christ-centred stories.
  • AI narration and contextual music generation turn a generated story into a more complete listening experience.
