Ring Us Drive School needed a new website designed, built and launched on a tight deadline. We used WordPress, Kadence and Kadence Blocks to get the site live without leaving the client dependent on a developer for routine changes. Learners can check pickup areas, compare lesson prices, read about the instructor and book from a site that holds together on desktop and mobile.
A deadline that could not move
Ring Us needed the site designed and launched quickly. That made scope control part of the design work. We concentrated first on the pages a learner needs before making a decision: the homepage, lesson prices, Ronnie's background, common questions, contact and booking. Each one has a clear job, and the public navigation stays short.
Kadence made the handover practical
We built on the Kadence theme and its block tools rather than replacing useful core behaviour with a custom editing system. The theme supplied a reliable responsive foundation, while the page work, content hierarchy and visual decisions remained specific to Ring Us. Routine changes can be made through familiar WordPress controls, so the client is not waiting on a developer to update a price, replace an image or adjust a section.
Built around the learner's next decision
The homepage starts with Ronnie's experience as a former VicRoads tester, a postcode check and a direct phone number. From there, learners can compare lesson types and prices, understand how Ronnie teaches, read answers about the car and pickup area, then contact him or book. The site moves from credibility to practical detail without making people hunt through a large menu.
The mobile version was part of the design
A driving school site will often be opened on a phone while someone is comparing instructors, checking a price or trying to book. The narrow layout was designed alongside desktop, with the navigation, postcode field, lesson cards, call actions and instructor photography rearranged for the smaller screen.
Build notes
- Designed and built on a compressed schedule so the client could launch when they needed to.
- Built on the Kadence theme and Kadence Blocks, using its responsive controls and editor components instead of recreating useful theme behaviour in custom code.
- Structured the public journey around a small set of tasks: check the pickup area, compare lesson prices, learn about Ronnie, read the FAQ, make contact or book.
- The homepage explains Ronnie's VicRoads testing background and keeps the phone, postcode and booking actions close to the decision point.
- Desktop and mobile layouts were designed together, with navigation, forms, pricing, images and calls to action recomposed for narrow screens.
- The editing setup lets the client change ordinary copy, prices, images and page sections through WordPress and Kadence without bringing a developer back for routine work.
