My Corgi Living is an Australian pet store inspired by Bubs, a rescue dog with one upright ear and one folded ear. We designed a new logo system around that recognisable detail, rolled it across the live Shopify store, then worked through the practical issues getting in the way of a purchase: homepage positioning, product-page structure, delivery and returns information, mobile layout, search metadata and Meta tracking checks.
Build the identity from the dog people remember
Bubs already gave My Corgi Living something most small pet stores would struggle to invent: a real story and a silhouette customers could recognise. One ear stands up and the other folds over, so we drew that detail into the C in Corgi. The approved system pairs a full wordmark for the website with a compact C mark for the favicon and social profile. It feels connected to Bubs without turning the business into a generic cartoon-dog brand.
Carry the brand into the store
The new mark was applied to the live Shopify header and favicon, then optically aligned so the unusual ears sit properly beside the navigation and account controls on desktop and mobile. The homepage now leads with a real photograph of Bubs, says what the store sells in plain language and gives shoppers direct routes into dog products, cat products and best sellers.
Put the buying decision in one place
The product pages had useful information, but shoppers had to work for it. We moved delivery cost, the free-shipping threshold and the 30-day returns conditions beside the purchase controls. Quantity and payment actions were rebuilt into a responsive layout, the product title became the page's single H1, and description headings were reduced to a readable scale. The puzzle toy page was also rewritten to remove claims the product couldn't support and replace them with dimensions, material, setup instructions and supervision guidance.
Check the measurement before paying for traffic
The store had Shopify, Meta, Google and TikTok integrations connected, but configuration alone doesn't prove the events are useful. We traced the active Meta data source and tested browser events from the live storefront. PageView, View Content and Add to Cart were received, and the cart event carried the correct product, A$20 value and AUD currency. Checkout and purchase still need a controlled end-to-end test before paid campaigns rely on them, so that work remains explicitly open.
Build notes
- Designed a full wordmark and compact mark around Bubs' mismatched ears, giving the brand a recognisable device that still reads clearly at favicon size.
- Prepared final PNG, SVG and Illustrator artwork, then rolled the approved marks into the Shopify header, favicon and Instagram profile asset.
- Reworked the homepage around a real photograph of Bubs, direct dog and cat shopping paths, and the products customers are most likely to buy first.
- Fixed product-page heading semantics, brought delivery and 30-day returns information beside the purchase controls, and tightened the mobile layout.
- Rewrote unsupported marketplace-style product claims into factual descriptions with dimensions, materials, use instructions and safety guidance.
- Checked the live Shopify and Meta setup, including browser PageView, View Content and Add to Cart events with the correct product value and AUD currency.
