Diamond Psychotherapy website strategy and client experience

We reshaped how Diamond Psychotherapy presents its work online. The project covered positioning, copy, visual hierarchy, navigation, trust signals and the path from first visit to booking.

Diamond Psychotherapy is Amber Diamond’s Burleigh Heads counselling practice, supporting children, adolescents, adults, couples and families in person and online. We repositioned the website around the questions people ask before choosing a counsellor, giving Amber a clearer way to tell her story and making her services, experience and booking path easier to understand.

The site needed a clearer first minute

The original site was already built and working. The problem was the order. Visitors met qualifications and service detail before they had a simple answer to the questions that matter first: can you help me, do you work with people like me, and what do I do next? We kept the Squarespace site and focused the work where it would change that first impression.

Start with who Amber helps

The homepage now opens with ‘Compassionate, evidence-based therapy’ and names children, adolescents, adults, couples and families straight away. The next section explains the concerns Amber supports and brings the deeper-pattern message forward without turning the page into clinical jargon. The booking path is visible from the header and repeated only where it helps.

Make the practice feel human

Amber’s bio was shortened and reframed around what it feels like to work with her. Her trauma-informed counselling, mental health, residential treatment, group work, complex support needs and Positive Behaviour Support experience still matter, but they now sit inside a warmer introduction instead of leading the page as a list of credentials.

Credibility without clutter

Client reviews moved near the top. PACFA, Certified Practising Counsellor and Psychology Today marks now have a dedicated section, while Instagram has a visible but restrained route from the homepage. We also reduced and aligned the header, improved the type hierarchy, tidied links across the connected pages, kept Book a Session visible on mobile and replaced the default Squarespace favicon with Diamond’s own mark.

Build notes

  • Reviewed the website from first visit to booking without rebuilding the working Squarespace site.
  • Repositioned the opening message so the practice, audience and path to booking are clear before a visitor scrolls.
  • Brought Amber’s deeper-pattern approach forward and shortened the biography around warmth, personality and relevant experience.
  • Moved real Google reviews near the top and gave PACFA, Certified Practising Counsellor and Psychology Today registrations a dedicated section.
  • Reduced and aligned the desktop header, kept Book a Session visible on mobile and tidied booking links across the connected pages.
  • Added a restrained Instagram route and replaced the default Squarespace favicon with the diamond from the practice logo.
